Professional Standards & Risk Management

The purpose of the Professional Standards and Risk Management Office is to ensure the integrity of the Sheriff's Office through prompt and thorough investigations of all complaints received from citizens.

Historically, the number of complaints received versus citizen contacts made by members of the Sheriff's Office is less than one percent. Law Enforcement is a very difficult and complex job in today's society and we understand that some of our citizens may not be satisfied with the performance of our officers.
