Hanover, Va. – On Sunday, May 28, 2017, at approximately 1:27 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle crash in the 16000 block of Mountain Road.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2015 Buick sedan, occupied by only the driver, was traveling west on Mountain Road, ran off the left shoulder of the roadway and collided with a tree.
The driver of the 2015 Buick sedan, Dennis Patrick Mullins, 79, of Bumpass, was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. No other vehicles were involved in this crash.
Investigators are still collecting information and consulting with the Medical Examiner to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic incident.
