Hanover, VA – On Monday, April 9, 2018, the Sheriff’s Office will once again be hosting a “Civilian Response to an Active Shooter” event presentation. To date, thousands of members of our community have attended these presentations and have received a better understanding on how to respond in the event of an active shooter situation.
This presentation focuses on historical case studies and current best practices. It is designed to make our community aware of what they can do to be better prepared and develop a plan should an event like this occur.
If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Ms. Ellen Dixon by calling 804-365-6324 or email her at emdixon@hanovercounty.gov. Registration begins at 6 p.m. and the presentation begins at 7 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors meeting room located at 7516 County Complex Road, Hanover, VA 23069.
