Hanover, Va. – On Sunday, July 29, 2018, at approximately 4:21 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle crash on Kings Acres Road near the intersection with Washington Highway.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2006 Dodge Durango was traveling east on Kings Acres Road when it traveled off the right side of the roadway colliding with a culvert and coming to rest at the bottom of a steep embankment.
The driver of the 2006 Dodge Durango, Lisa Monaghan, 52, of Hanover, was transported to a local hospital where she was subsequently pronounced deceased.
Investigators are still collecting information to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic incident.
