HANOVER, Va. – Michael C. Teegarden, 51-year-old male of Mechanicsville, was arrested this morning on two counts of child pornography subsequent to a search warrant executed at his home in the 10000 block of Morning Dew Lane.
Hanover Sheriff’s Office investigators, working closely with members of the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children (SOVA ICAC) Task Force, executed a search warrant after information was received that a computer in the residence was being used for online trading of digital child pornography. After an investigation, Hanover Investigators, working with the Task Force and Linn County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon, determined evidence existed to charge Teegarden with two counts of felony possession of child pornography.
Teegarden is currently incarcerated at Pamunkey Regional Jail and is being held without bond. Investigators continue to review information regarding this investigation.
