Arrests Made for Possession of Child Pornography

Hanover, Va. – In June 2023, Investigators with the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force regarding the possible possession of child pornography by an individual located in Hanover County. As a result, an investigation was initiated.

After a thorough investigation, investigators with the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office arrested Thomas Ray Mickles, 37, of Mechanicsville. As a result of the arrest, a search warrant was obtained and executed on Mickles’ residence in the 7000 block of Cold Harbor Road.

Due to the evidence collected, Mickles was additionally charged with Production of Child Pornography (8Xs – F) and Possession of Child Pornography (2Xs – F).

Mickles is currently incarcerated at Pamunkey Regional Jail. His booking photo is attached.
