Arrests Made for Possession of Child Pornography
Hanover, Va. – In May 2023, Investigators with the Hanover County Sheriff's Office received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force regarding the possible possession of child pornography by an individual located in Hanover County. As a result, an investigation was initiated.
After a thorough investigation, Investigators with the Hanover County Sheriff's Office arrested Byron Leon Heath, 59, of Mechanicsville. Investigators executed a search warrant on Heath's residence in the 7000 block of Jamie Court.
Due to the evidence collected, Heath was charged with multiple counts of Possession of Child Pornography and other related crimes.
Heath is currently incarcerated at the Pamunkey Regional Jail. A booking photo is attached.
