Hanover, Va. – On January 18, 2016, the Hanover Sheriff’s Office responded to three calls for residential burglaries. The incidents spanned the rural areas of western Hanover County. The burglaries occurred during the daytime hours when the homes were not occupied. Investigators are working diligently to identify the individuals responsible for these crimes.
The members of the Sheriff’s Office recognize safe communities are the result of strong partnerships. We ask you to be aware of any suspicious activity in and around your area. For example, if you observe an unfamiliar vehicle pull into your neighbor’s driveway while they are at work, report that to us immediately. Obtain as much information as safely as possible. A vehicle description with a license plate number and direction of travel is extremely helpful. In addition, a detailed description of the vehicle occupants is also beneficial to the investigation.
