HCSO Investigates Numerous School Threats
Hanover, Va. – Today, Friday, December 10, 2021, the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of numerous threats to multiple schools throughout Hanover County. The Sheriff’s Office immediately deployed additional resources to each school and worked closely with school administration.
Investigators have conducted numerous interviews and no credible threat has been found. Throughout the day there will be an increased presence of deputies at our schools. We continue to encourage all parents to monitor their child’s social media activity as it appears these incidents started as a rumor while students were playing a video game.
Again, no credible threat has been identified as a result of our investigation.
