Arrest Made in Narcotics Case

 

Hanover, Va. – On April 18, 2022, investigators with the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office executed a residential search warrant located in the 8000 block of Darva Glen. This search warrant was obtained based on the results of an extensive investigation.
 
During the execution of the search warrant, James Carey Sullenberger, 39, of Mechanicsville was arrested and charged with the following crimes: Possession of Methamphetamine (F –x2), Possession of a Firearm while in Possession of Methamphetamine (F – x2), Possession of a Sawed-Off Rifle (F), Possession of a Sawed-Off Shotgun (F), and Possession of a Concealed Weapon.
 
Furthermore, as a result of this search warrant, dozens of firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition and suspected illegal narcotics were recovered from Sullenberger’s residence.
 
James Sullenberger was transported to Pamunkey Regional Jail and is being held without bond. A booking photo is attached.
